Q: What is in
the members' section of the web site ?
A:
1) List of all active members. At a minimum members list their names
but you can also add as much info about yourself ( as long as it
is within club bylaws ) as you want. Talk about what role running
plays in your life, list detailed race reports from events you have
completed or place a pic with you running with your dog. List
your email if you want so other club members can contact you.
2) Members discussion boards.
3) Club schedule ( road trips, group runs, social events )
4) Awards section - annual awards and Hall of Fame.
5) Other neat stuff like race reviews, maps and information.

Q: How do I
become a member ?
A: To maintain the integrity
of the club and in order to achieve the club's mission, members
must have a legitimate interest in running at some level and be friendly
and morally supportive of other runners.
To become a member simply request an application, speak with a club
officer and pay your dues. Members must be 21 years of age and have personal medical insurance.

Q: How much
are dues ?
A: $24 per year. Pro-rated quarterly
if member joins after January. Dues cover club insurance, web site, advertising, awards, nominal business fees, and other expenses agreed to by club officers.

Q: Does The
Columbus Running Club train runners ?
A: No. There is no "training
program" that The Columbus Running Club endorses or thinks is the
best - whether it is for marathons or weight loss. However, through
meeting other runners in the Club and exchanging ideas, runners
may gain knowledge about what has worked or not worked for other
runners.
